It sometimes feels like cheating shooting photos at sunset. The light is at it's best for that last half hour of the day. It's a shame that my favourite time to shoot is also the time I feel like bait. There were some fun little waves in town Saturday afternoon. This is what they looked like.
What a great day for a bonus day off yesterday. Thanks Queeny. It didn't feel like winter at all. I rocked up to the beach in the afternoon and was greeted with some average waves, but ducked out for a surf because the weather was so nice. Around 4 O'Clock I realized that I missed the memo about Logs and Longjohns and swapped the board for the camera. Just in time for the glass off.
I needed to get wet this morning. It was cold and pretty uninviting, but it's been too long. Plus I had some new flippers to try out. I snapped a couple of shots from Harry's Lookout before I paddled out at Flynnies. There was one lonely longboarder out and Fred had his choice of any close out he wanted. It was good to get wet.
This morning the waves at Lighthouse looked as fun as I've seen them in ages. Unfortunately I'm recovering from a rib injury and had to settle for watching everyone else get barrelled. On the upside I did get to try out a new lens and I'm pretty happy with how it works. I can't wait to try it on a sunny day. I managed to jag quite a few shots today so I'll be uploading the extras to our Facebook Page shortly.
